Since 2021, THACO has invested in agriculture in Laos, with THACO AGRI managing and supporting the operations of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Agricultural Joint Stock Company (HAGL Agrico) across a total land area of over 27,000 hectares. The land is zoned for banana and pineapple monoculture production; cattle farming combined with mango and pomelo cultivation; goat, freshwater fish and swiftlet farming. The production activities also include the production of organic fertilizers and agricultural supplies. Production management follows an integrated and circular model with industrial characteristics at the Complex.

On January 10, Phu Xuan University in Thua Thien Hue Province held a graduation ceremony for the academic year 2021-2024. Representing THACO AGRI, Mr. Huynh Van Danh, HAGL AGRICO Laos’ HR Vice Director, attended the event and awarded five scholarships to the valedictorians who will be working at the complex upon graduation.

On January 10, a delegation from the Attapeu Provincial People's Council, led by Vice Chairman Souksamlarn Xaiyaseng, who is also the Chairman of the Economic, Planning, and Finance Committee, paid a visit to the HAGL AGRICO Laos Complex. They were welcomed by Mr. Doan Ba Phi, the complex’s director along with its leadership team.

On January 9, in Vientiane, capital of Laos, the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment, in collaboration with the Lao Ministry of Planning and Investment and relevant ministries, organized the 2025 Vietnam-Laos Investment Cooperation Conference themed "For Sustainable and Prosperous Mutual Development". THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong attended the event.
