THACO AGRI announces business and management plans for 2024's second half at units
From July 13 to 18, THACO AGRI's Pig Corporation, Snuol and Koun Mom Complexes (Cambodia) charted their business and management plans for the remainder of 2024.
Pig Corporation: The total pig herd reaches 105,000 by the end of 2024
On July 13, the Pig Corporation proposed a core strategy for large-scale pig production with a value chain focusing on grandparents, parent pigs and meat pigs; integrating forest tree planting and renewable energy, ensuring the environment, biosecurity, improving productivity, and optimizing costs.
The corporation has set key goals for the second half of 2024: finalizing planning and investment for existing projects, researching and applying pig herd management technology, developing and installing rooftop electrical systems for farms and factories, complete the investment in water supply systems to meet the needs of farms. By the end of the year, the company will submit planning and investment proposals for the EaH'Leo - Dak Lak project and the Binh Dinh farm expansion phase 2.
As part of its production targets, the Corporation also aims to raise 105,000 pigs and produce 52,500 tons of animal feed by the end of the year.
Snuol Complex: Focusing on integrated large-scale industrialized agricultural production efforts
At the conference on July 17, Snuol Complex set out its production, business and management plans for the last 6 months of the year. Specifically, in terms of production and business, the complex will plant 1,346 hectares of bananas and harvests 789 hectares of bananas, with an expected output of 17,250 tons, plant an additional 593 hectares of durians, maintain the existing 2,640 hectares of rubber, with a dry latex output of 3,222 tons. In cattle production, the complex plans to increase the herd size to 15,391 cattle heads, invest in building 14 cattle farms, plant 522 hectares of grazing grass and 113 hectares of concentrated grass meadows, selling 2,099 cows, establishing freshwater fish farming operations, and building 2 bird nest houses.
In addition, the complex aims to actively engage in recruitment and training to build a skilled workforce to meet production and business requirements, upholding THACO's philosophy and culture, and apply mechanization methodologies to crop and livestock production.
Speaking at the Conference, THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong said: "The conference marks a pivotal moment in establishing a new, integrated model for crop and livestock production. This comprehensive approach encompasses complex operational systems, industry collaboration, and a focus on human resources development. This vision, mission, and strategy will require a unified effort from all employees across the organization."
For banana production, it is necessary to focus on changing banana varieties suited to local conditions and ensure they meet quality standards. The complex is also to develop cattle husbandry practices to ensure the supply of cattle manure for banana production, research, deploy and plan for crocodile farming to utilize food sources from cattle production.
In industrial production, it is necessary to accelerate investments and put into use agricultural mechanical and equipment factories. In logistics, the complex needs to implement countertrade regulations and synchronize freight forwarding management to reduce logistics costs.
Regarding human resource management, the complex will need to implement a system to evaluate and offer salaries that reflect employee capabilities, strengthen internal training programs to improve staff's skills, develop incremental gardens near factory office clusters, providing autonomy in supply and food safety for workers.
Following the conference, the Snuol Complex must give a strong focus and dedicated effort in promoting large-scale, fully integrated industrial agricultural production practices.
