The giving spirit at HAGL AGRICO Laos Complex
A few years ago, Saysettha district, a once barren land in Attapeu province, Southern Laos, seemed trapped in a cycle of hardship, with dreams of a better life seemingly out of reach. With the systematic investments of the company, where once desolate fields stretched across Saysettha, HAGL AGRICO Laos Complex has cultivated a landscape of flourishing banana gardens and fruit-laden orchards. Modern factories, packaging workshops, and well-stocked convenience stores have transformed the lives of employees, bringing stability and a renewed sense of possibility.
"My greatest hope is for THACO AGRI's continued growth"
Driven by youthful dreams, Mr. Pham Huu Kha traded his hometown in Dong Thap province for the early hardships of HAGL AGRICO Laos Complex.
The place then was untamed, with limited facilities, poor-conditioned roads, scorching sun and torrential downpours. Undeterred by these obstacles, Mr. Kha and his colleagues, united by their faith in company's strategy, joined forces and overcame every hardship, remaining steadfast with THACO AGRI. "The incredible transformation of the Complex stands as a testament to our constant efforts in this journey," Mr. Kha shared.
Drawn by the strong welfare package including food, housing, and stable salaries, Mr. Kha convinced his extended family to join him at the Complex. Now, nearly 10 of his family members work there, including his wife, siblings, in-laws, and nieces and nephews. "My greatest hope is for THACO AGRI's continued growth, allowing my family to live comfortably, free from financial anxieties, and providing my children with better educational opportunities," Mr. Kha revealed.
Mr. Kha's dedication to learning and his proven abilities earned him the trust of leadership, leading him to become the Director of Pomelo Farm No. 9. After nearly a decade in Saysettha, his family embodies the complex's spirit of solidarity, effort, and dedication, making significant contributions to the Complex's development.
We deeply appreciate THACO AGRI's supportive environment
Upon graduating with a Business Administration degree from Quy Nhon University in 2010, Mr. Sommai Sainet joined THACO AGRI in Laos, motivated by a desire to contribute to his homeland. He arrived during a period of significant hardship for many Lao people, characterized by instability, hunger, and limited opportunities. "It wasn't until 2018, when THACO AGRI's investment in human resource management led to significant improvements, that widespread job opportunities began to emerge for Lao citizens," Mr. Sommai shared his personal experience.
Working in the same department for nearly 15 years, Mr. Sommai met and fell in love with Ms. VanhSy Manylerd. Their bond grew through shared hardships and a united commitment to THACO AGRI's development. Marriage solidified their decision to stay, driven by the dream of building a home and family. "THACO AGRI's stable income, welfare policies, and generous compensation allowed us to save and build a secure future," Ms. VanhSy expressed with gratitude. "We are among many couples who deeply appreciate the supportive environment THACO AGRI fosters for its employees."
Mr. Kha and Mr. Sommai's families represent just a fraction of the positive transformations THACO AGRI has brought to Saysettha. Under the company's umbrella, individuals and families alike contribute to its continued growth and success, bringing significant changes to Saysettha.
