THACO AGRI of Chairman Mr. Tran Ba Duong is ambitious to gain 350 million USD from fruit export in 2022
According to the New Year greeting letter of Mr. Tran Ba Duong – Chairman of Truong Hai Auto Group (THACO), in 2021, the group implemented and completed the program “Restructuring and upgrading management” with multi-industry ecosystem including 2 sub-holdings: Thaco Auto (Automobile) and Thaco Agriculture (Agro-Forestry) and 4 subsidiaries including Thaco Industries (Mechanics and Supporting Industries), Thadico (Investment and Construction), Thilogi (Logistics) and Thiso (Commerce and Service).
Thaco Auto specializes in management and operation of automobile production and business throughout the production - distribution - retail value chain. In 2021, Thaco Auto remained the leading in domestic market with 35% market share and total sales reached nearly 100,000 vehicles, developed 36 new products, 40 new showrooms, increase total showrooms and agents to 350.
Regarding 2022 plan, Thaco Auto expects to achieve sales target of 120,000 vehicles, develop 40 more showrooms to 390 showrooms in total including a number of intergrated models such as showroom complex, showroom auto - shopping center complex, at the same time upgrade management from branches to become legal companies.
Thaco Industries, with the strategy of developing mechanics and supporting industries, is a main business of Thaco though cooperation, joint venture with domestic and foreign partners to produce and trade mechanical and industrial industries products both within and outside of automobile industry.
In 2021, Thaco Industries’s turnovers achieved approximately 6,000 billion VND, export accounts for 50 million USD. According to 2022 plan, domestic and export turnovers is estimated to be worth 12,700 billion dong and 260 million USD (five-fold increase), respectively.
As for THACO AGRI - the holding company of Hoang Anh Gia Lai International Agriculture Joint Stock Company (Code: HNG), THACO AGRI implements strategy of agricultural investment & production: growing fruit trees; raising breeding cows, beef cattle, breeding pigs and porkers in large scale on an organic basis and managing production according to industrial methods.
In 2021, THACO AGRI completed the plan and investment in fruit trees area and synchronous technical infrastructure; took care of more than 28,000 ha fruit trees, exported over 300,000 tons fruit with the sales revenue of over 175 million USD.
According to 2022 plan, the estimated export output is 620,000 tonns and revenue is expected to reach more than 350 million USD. THACO AGRI will organize to implement the project of breeding cow, beef cattle with semi-grazed and concentrated fattening model, the total breeding cows comes to 26,000 cows, up to now, nearly 5,000 calves were born.
The company will continue developing and investing in breeding in agricultural complexs in 2022, increase the farm scale to 84,000 cows. In 2021, THACO AGRI invested in breeding pig and porkers project in Binh Dinh, An Giang with farm scale of 142,000 pigs and will continue to invest the project in Daklak with the scale of 175,000 pigs.
Thadico (Dai Quang Minh Company) performs the role of investment management, construction and directly implements investment in construction of transport infrastructure projects, industrial parks, urban areas and real estate.
In Ho Chi Minh City, Thadico will continue to implement the Thu Thiem 2 bridge project, hand over and bring into operation before April 30, 2022. Completing legal and investment procedures to implement the project of automobile mechanics, agricultural - forestry, port and port logistics industrial parks in Chu Lai - Quang Nam, THACO - Thai Binh.
In addition, Thadico also execute complexs and commercial real estate projects according to business plans of commerce - service, distribution - retail of automobiles fields and projects in the field of agriculture in An Giang, Binh Dinh, Central Highlands, Laos and Cambodia for THACO AGRI.
Thiso is a corporation operating in the field of commerce and service. In 2021, Thiso and Emart Inc. signed an agreement to transfer 100% of Emart Vietnam Co., Ltd.'s capital, an exclusive franchise agreement to take over the operation of Emart supermarket and continue to implement system expansion projects in the Vietnamese market.
In 2022, Thiso Retail will put into operation at least two Emart supermarkets in the Ho Chi Minh City and build three more supermarkets across the country.
Finally, Thilogi is the focal point to organize and provide logistics services for Thaco and its partners, including: international and domestic shipping services, seaports and road transport; concentrated in the Central region, Central Highlands and Laos and Cambodia to serve two-way convection transportation to support other production and business activities.
In 2021, the throughput of goods through the port reached 3 million tons, an increase of nearly 50% compared to 2020, transported nearly 38,000 containers of auto parts; transport by road more than 25,500 containers of agricultural materials convectively with the provinces of Central Highlands and Cambodia, Laos.
In 2022, Thilogi plans to transport nearly 53,000 containers of components, more than 39,000 containers of fruits and agricultural supplies, and the throughput of goods through Chu Lai port is expected to be more than 4.2 million tons.
