Koun Mom agricultural complex organizes vaccination for 100% of employees

The situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in Cambodia is increasingly complicated and prolonged. In Rattanakiri province, where the Koun Mom Agricultural Production Complex operates, the Covid-19 epidemic situation is still being closely directed by the Company's executive board. Besides 5K compliance, the complex also controls people, vehicles, goods and materials entering the company/projects by wearing tags for workers. All kinds of strange vehicles and strangers are strictly prohibited from entering the company or projects.

The leadership also worked with Rattanakiri’s Department of Health of unite a plan to transfer Khmer workers infected with Covid-19 to medical facilities for isolation and treatment. For Vietnamese employees, they will be transferred to Vietnam for treatment in Gia Lai province. In urgent cases, contact the Consulate General of Vietnam in Cambodia for support; Build concentrated isolation areas at Daunpenh Factory Clusters (Lot 42) and Andong Meas (Lot 03) to temporarily isolate suspected/infected cases of Covid-19; At the same time, prepare the conditions (facilities, fence the living quarters with gates, plan and find food suppliers to ensure epidemic prevention...) to isolate each farm/factory during the Covid-19 epidemic.

Besides Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control, the Management Board of Koun Mom Complex also planned to vaccinate 100% of employees and workers (including Vietnamese and Cambodians) who are working at Kounmom Agricultural Production Complex. After many weeks of working with Ratanakiri province on vaccinating all staff at the project, by the end of August 7, 2021, a total of 1,233 Vietnamese and Filipino employees will be vaccinated against Covid-19. By October 30, vaccination for 8,531 Cambodian workers will be completed at Koun Mom Complex.

In the face of a serious labor shortage in recent times, vaccination for all employees and workers will help Koun Mom Commplex be more proactive in recruiting new workers and stabilizing production in the coming year-end months and prepare for the business plan in 2022.
