HAGL AGRICO Laos Complex attends East-West Economic Corridor development high-level meeting
HAGL AGRICO Laos Complex was represented by its Deputy General Director, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Tuan, at a high-level meeting on East-West Economic Corridor development held on April 2 in Sekong province, Laos.
The meeting saw a collaborative effort among five regions spanning three nations: Da Nang and Quang Nam in Vietnam, Ubon Ratchathani in Thailand, as well as Champasak and Sekong in Laos. Delegates from these provinces showcased their economic advantages and put forth strategies to enhance investment, commerce, tourism, and infrastructure links along the corridor.

During the conference, Mr. Leklay Sivilay, the Governor of Sekong province (Laos) underscored the region's strategic location as a trade hub connecting Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand. Sekong is pursuing a strategic vision that prioritizes infrastructure development and attracting investment in trade and tourism. Additionally, the province aspires to become a major electricity producer for southern Laos while simultaneously fostering a clean agricultural production model integrated with processing industries.

As an agricultural investor in southern Laos' Attapeu and Sekong provinces, HAGL AGRICO Laos Complex leveraged the conference to showcase its operations, build connections, and expand markets for its agricultural products, aiming to contribute to the socio-economic development of the region by creating jobs and boosting local incomes.
