HAGL AGRICO Laos complex applies mechanization into cattle farming
To meet the feed demand for nearly 10,000 cattle by the end of 2024, HAGL AGRICO Laos complex has invested in a John Deere 6155M tractor and a Celikel Challenger 4 mower.
Compared to the older Celikel Challenger 2, the Celikel Challenger 4 significantly boosts productivity, achieving around 10-12 tons of grass per hour. This improvement shortens harvest time and reduces labor costs. The John Deere 6155M tractor provides powerful traction and drive, working in tandem with the Celikel Challenger 4, which features sharp blades, an integrated blade sharpening system, and a flexible chopping mechanism for efficient grass harvesting.
The combination of the Celikel Challenger 4 mower and the John Deere 6155M tractor, with their high efficiency and large working area capacity, saves time, reduces labor, and ensures consistently high-quality grass without manual processing. Additionally, these machines optimize the harvesting process, minimize resource waste, and ensure a safer, more efficient working environment.
Regular and proper maintenance is crucial to ensure the longevity and performance of the equipment. Mr. Tran Nhat Tam, Director of the Internal Transport and Automotive Department at the co mplex, shared: “After many trials with the John Deere 6155M tractor and the Celikel Challenger 4 mower, we highly appreciate their performance and durability. The trials showed stable operation, allowing us to quickly and efficiently harvest grass on large areas. Our operators, with over three years of experience, can maintain the machines in their best conditions, ensuring continuous, uninterrupted operation and a steady supply of high-quality feed for the cattle.”
In 2025, the HAGL AGRICO Laos complex plans to further invest in modern machinery and equipment to meet the increasing demand for grass harvesting, ensuring a sufficient supply of high-quality feed for the expanding cattle herd.
