Cooperative discussion in training and scientific research between THACO AGRI and Nong Lam University

To keep on the promotion of cooperative agreement in Training, Science and Technology signed on March 24th 2019 between THACO AGRI and HCMC Nong Lam University, on May 8th, 2021, at HCMC Nong Lam University, Mr. Tran Bao Son – General Director of THACO AGRI and the delegation worked with the head of University about the recruitment demand for qualified manpower for THACO AGRI’s strategy of agricultural development. Welcoming the delegation are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Thanh Tung – Acting principal of Nong Lam University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tat Toan – Vice principal together with deans of departments.

In the discussion, Mr. Tran Bao Son introduced about the scale and development strategy of THACO AGRI, concurrently proposed programs of training and cooperation between the company and university such as: Applied research topics and projects in farming and processing sector; Receiving students major in Biological technology, food technology, processing and preservation technology, plant protection, veterinary medicine; agricultural mechanics major…; Collaborating in domestic and foreign research projects, applying digital technology in management and production.

After the presentation and proposals of THACO AGRI, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Thanh Tung – Acting principal of Nong Lam University and teachers expressed their surprises at the large-scale of development as well as the company’s strategic direction which are very suitable with the development strategy of Vietnam’s agriculture. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Thanh Tung said, HCMC Nong Lam University is a multi-major university specializing in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery education and research. Thus, the university can meet all THACO AGRI’s proposals. This is the opportunity for both parties to deploy short-term and long-term cooperation programs suitable with the actual demand of the enterprise and the ability of the university.
