Attapeu Provincial People's Council delegation visits HAGL AGRICO Laos Complex
On January 10, a delegation from the Attapeu Provincial People's Council, led by Vice Chairman Souksamlarn Xaiyaseng, who is also the Chairman of the Economic, Planning, and Finance Committee, paid a visit to the HAGL AGRICO Laos Complex. They were welcomed by Mr. Doan Ba Phi, the complex’s director along with its leadership team.
During the meeting, Mr. Doan Ba Phi provided an overview of THACO AGRI and the complex’s sustainable agricultural development strategy. With comprehensive planning and investment, HAGL AGRICO Laos is implementing an integrated, circular agricultural production model over a total area of 27,384 hectares, including banana and mango cultivation and cattle farming. This model helps optimize resources, minimize environmental impact, and aligns with Attapeu province's green economic development orientation.
In his remarks, Mr. Souksamlarn Xaiyaseng praised the production scale and development strategy of HAGL AGRICO Laos. He stated that the visit aimed not only to understand the management and operation practices of the complex but also to promote strategic cooperation plans in economics, planning, and finance aspects, including agricultural projects. This aims to diversify investment resources and enhance financial efficiency. "We hope THACO AGRI will continue to expand your investments and apply advanced technology to develop Laos' agriculture, contributing to local economic growth and strengthening the cooperation between the two sides," added Mr. Souksamlarn Xaiyaseng.
During the meeting, the leadership of HAGL AGRICO Laos proposed that the Lao authorities accelerate the investment projects, optimizing economic efficiency, and significantly contributing to the sustainable development of Attapeu province.
On this occasion, the delegation visited the BSA Breeding Cattle Farm, banana cultivation enterprises, and other planned areas.
