3,500 fattening and breeding cattles were imported to Ia Puch farm
On June 15, the shipment of cattle from Australia by specialized vessel of Trung Nguyen Cattle Company docked at Quy Nhon port, Binh Dinh. This is the 2nd cattle import in 2021 with the number of 3,500 fattening and breeding cows of Brahman and Brahman hybrids.
The selected Brahman cattle breed has the advantages of high meat yield, good adaptability to tropical climates which is hot and humid and ability to consume raw food. Brahman breed cows have high fertility long lifespan, and give birth easily.
Similarly, the Brahman hybrid, also known as Australian cow, has many outstanding advantages such as the ability to gain weight and good meat quality, high proportion of meat, good resistance to ticks and blood sugar parasites, and adaptability to grazing conditions in hot, humid or dry regions. Brahman hybrid cows are easy to give birth, benign, and good in lactation.
Docked cattle, after being transported to Ia Puch farm (Gia Lai) will be isolated according to regulations and carried out a process of classifying and taking care of each type of cow. With fattening cattle, after sorting by weight, they will be transferred to concentrated farms for raising and fattening. Breeding cattle after isolation will be examined for antenatal care and planned for breeding as well as taking care of pregnant cows. Ia Puch cattle farm currently has a total herd of more than 14,000 cows.
