2 new banana packing houses of Snuol complex came in to operation

COVID 19 pandemic seriously affected to the production and business of enterprises in Cambodia. THACO AGRI – an Vietnam’s enterprise investing in Agricultural production in Cambodia faced more and more difficulties because the team of expects, engineers and construction technical workers from Vietnam exited to Cambodia must comply with the prevention regulation of the Gorvernment.

In order to meet the production and business requirements of THACO AGRI, despite of the difficulties from COVID-19, group of 51 employees in Chu Lai Contrusction Company, 22 employees of Chu Lai technical complex and the leader of THACO AGRI dethermined and made a great effort to organize the construction, installation and put 2 new banana packing houses into operation as planned. THACO AGRI switched to working online and the team of engineers, construction managers were on duty at the construction project to direct and inspect the construction, closely work with contractors in order to ensure the number of workers. At the same time, we proactively planned, ordered supplies and material for construction to reduce waiting time and avoid the increase of cost. After 3-month active construction, 2 new banana packing houses are put into operation, including: Packing house SN03 located at Lot 80, started to construct on April 1, 2021, put into operation on July 1, 2021; Packing house SN06B, located at Lot 42, started to construct on April 11, 2021, put into operation on Julu 19, 2021.

Each packing house has the scale of 350 hectares banana, including 6 double packing lines. After being on stream, 2 new packing houses created jobs for more than 300 local workers. This activity has a great significance to increase output and quality of packing bananas at farms.
